Amy Winehouse ????????

On hearing the news of Amy's death, my heart plunged,on the inside of me.I felt so many emotions for her family and her love ones. A life that was lived without really living. I know those of us who have lived with our love ones being addicted,we know the edge that they live on from week to week, never knowing if they will hurt/kill themselves or someone else. I thought about all the Amy's out there in the dark world of addiction, who think that the don't need rehab or reforming and also the families who have given up on believing that their family,friend or co-worker can be free from addictions.

The addiction world is GRIM,LIFELESS AND DARK. The recovery process is just that you work one day at a time.

Things I know that each addict needs whether in recovery or not.

1. The family dynamics play an important role in the addict recovery, a strong family is family that work through the diffcult times, we should never measure our strength during the good times, it is the tough times that shows you really what type of family you are.
2. The addict can only change if they choose to change.
3. The family must exhibit,strong hate for the addiction,but not the addict.
4. The family must show love at all levels, remember showing love does not mean giving money to a person who is still using.
5. The addict has always used the tools of manipulation to get what they want. Their mind set has to change, I believe that only comes through Jesus Christ and rehab programs that allow the addict to see themselves.
and allow them to get healed from the real probelm that led them to addiction in the first place.
6.The addict must find ways to express tiredness,stress, loneliness-You must learn the trigger signs of your family members and the moment you see this manifesting immediately put in protective mechanism, through whatever means that are necessary.
7. It is very important that you allow the addict/recovering addict to take responsibility and accountabilty for their actions.
8. Connect with a local church that loves you,through every phase of your life.
I always read these articles to Tyrone, I never want him to feel left out of my healing process. He said"Everything you said is the truth and more and he said yes Amy could have been saved, but she really had believed a lie and she spoke it in her song I Don't want go to Rehab... There nothing that you can teach me."

The words that Jesus spoke and speaking today is life for our exsistence.
The greek word ZOE means the God kind of Life. I know that God has a plan for our lives so much greater than we can comprehend. He intended for us to live life through him. We that are born again, know the need for life,because the sinful nature, causes us to be dead. but through the redemption of the cross we can have the ZOE life.

The sad thing for me today is that there are many Amy's out their today, black,white, poor, rich, young and old, who will die in the same way of shame. I ask you today to Pray the ZOE life over those who are bound and recovering from addictions and their love ones.

John 10:10 The thief enters only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest.(CEB)

What are we going to do?

The big question, we all ask,when we do not know what to do. I wonder how many times we have ask this question and wavered with the idea of this and that,lets get the answer from my 9 year old. He said" Do what you know to do." I then ask him what do you do after you have done what you know to do and it doesn't work out. He said" It just doesn't work out." and he jumped up and headed out the room, and started playing his PSP.

We could and we can learn something from such a simple profound answer, that is the following

1. DO WHAT YOU KNOW IS RIGHT.

2. YOU ARE NOT GOD AND IF THE COURSE HAPPENS TO CHANGE GO WITH THE FLOW OF GOD.

3. CONTINUE WITH LIFE.

Jeremiah 29:11 - 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, ' plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

When Life Makes a Bad Turn

In Living,my life has made many turns on the highway of life, some due to construction of me as a Christians and others due the enemy roadblocks, I want to share with you what I learned on the Highway of Life.



God sees you as his very best represenative in the earth.

Do you have faith in God?



Your background,socioeconomic,

struggles and issues, are not what God is looking at, he wants a relationship with you through his Son Christ Jesus, Living a life in Christ will show you how to become all that he created you to be. Many Christians have the list of don'ts,but they forget to tell you, you can not change without the help of the Holy Spirit and changes is a process. If you have accepted him as your Lord and Savior, then you must renew your mind about what he thinks about you. God wants to use you in the earth as his representative of hope and love for others in the earth.



When we are in the heat of life changes, many times we forget that we faced another battle 5 years ago and we overcame the pain,frustration and the aggravation.



Always rehearse what the Lord has already done,satan jobs is to steal,kill and destroy you any way he can. What you rehearse in your heart will succumb to your mind. Counter attack with the word of God.



Revelation 12:11-12 They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn’t love their life so much that they refused to give it up.







As born again believers we always say we have faith, but the truth is Faith is not seeing or feeling the situation has changed, Faith is believing it is already changed before we see the change.

We must always have expectation in Christ Jesus working on our behalf.



Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 Changes are evitable in living, it is how we deal with the changes, we face.



My prayer for you today, Father in the Name of Jesus I pray for my brother and sister today, that you would grant them peace and wisdom regarding the situation, that they are facing today, help them know that according to your word, you will never leave us nor forsake us. I pray that you will implant their minds with remembrance of the victories, that you have already provided.I ask you to Continue to send people to encourage them, that this too in their life shall past. I declare that the enemy is a liar and the father of lies, and every lie of defeat has been destroyed by the blood of Jesus. In Jesus Name Amen

STEP INTO CHANGE

Stepping into Change is not easy, it is a move from one thought, place,or action, from previous stance. I have been doing a lot of thinking about.... The next step to living, I realize living without a purpose is a win of nothing, but the hardest part about stepping into change is living and knowing your purpose, but when your life purpose seems to be in a holding pattern.... I am no expert on this subject. I grew up with a poor self image of myself due to many factors. and the thought patterns in my life, about sucess has been misconstrued, but the steps for me today is not to focus on what was,but what we can become,taking one step at a time.

The questions that I am asking myself today are questions that are designed for us to see ourselves in the light of Who God created us to be, ask yourself the questions

1. Will my life matter?

2. Who will I impact with my life?

3. What to do while I am in the holding phase of life?
Lets deal with question #3. I wish I had the fancy words to say, but it is simple

1.Do What is Right, leave your mistakes and all behind you
2.Continue to take daily steps on the path of life.(Don't settle or stop)
3.Know for yourself that you are helping someone(Be it good or bad)

I am finding out in the holding phase, many of us think we are doing nothing, but in reality,everytime I am in the holding phase of my life, that is when I've made the biggest strides. life will always have adversity,it is not your adversity that makes you. It is what you do with the adversity that determines your next step. The purpose and plan of God can only be revealed one step at a time.
I AM DETERMINE THAT WE ARE OVERCOMERS,AND WE WILL HELP OTHERS TO OVERCOME. THE DREAM YOU AND I HAVE BEEN GIVEN IS NOT ABOUT US, IT IS ABOUT THOSE WE CAN HELP TO DREAM.

Tyrone and I would not have done it any other way, We married on a bang of Love that goes on and on through good and bad times. I love you Tyrone and I expect many more years of love together. I thank God for the freedom that he has given me and my family. May you reflect this day on the freedom, and the cost of freedom, both spiritually and naturally. I love ya Big Daddy

THE REAL PROBLEM

My son just came home from Summer Camp and he talked about  his experience with the Lord, "He said momma the Lord spoke to me this week and told me that I he had to live off of my faith and not yours."  He then stated "He had been half doing the things of the Lord and not making his relationship important with Christ."  Isn't this what most of us do We live off of the words of the Preacher, counselor,friends, and the grocery store clerk. This is good, but to experience the freedom we all need, we have to invest more time in building our relationship with the Lord and then we can build our earthly relationships.

There comes a time when we all must base our lives on something greater than us, not what our parents did or did not do. I will never make excuse for bad parenting, but the fact of the matter we all miss it as parents. He then said momma and daddy "I let it all go, I forgave everything. and recommitted my life back  to the Lord."I was so thankful for his encounter this week.  As a mother I am so glad that he choose to take the mask off and see what the real issue was in his life.

 I also know that forgiveness and healing is a process, We have decided to walk with him through this path of life. I thank God that he has and will continue to send labours to minister life to our children

On the journey of recovery we find out that the drugs and co-dependent behavior, are mask that we wear to hide the real problem.

I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins,and cleanse us from all unrighteousness vs10 If we say that we have not sin, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.
